The Prairie Arts Center in North Platte NE is hosting “Artists at Work” Exhibition during the month of January 2024 with an opening reception on Friday, January 5th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Keith and Holly Howe of Photographic Images in North Platte have driven hither and yon throughout Nebraska to photograph artists in their studios and or plein air locations. The photographs as well as pieces of artwork from each artist will be part of the exhibition. My painting, “Pasture Gold,” will be part of this exhibit. I will be at the reception and if you are local, I would love to see you! Please join in celebrating Nebraska art and artists!

The Willa Cather Center in Red Cloud, Nebraska, is celebrating 150 years of Willa Cather’s life and work with an annual conference in June, 2023. In connection with the conference they are hosting an invitational art exhibit to which I have been invited.

“The exhibit’s title, Visions Seen in the Air, asks contributing artists to contemplate the essence of Willa Cather’s home town and to convey, through any medium, that sense of place and feeling of home that would later inspire Cather as she created her six Nebraska novels.” There will be an artist’s reception during the Spring Confrence, June 1-3, 2023.

The Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art is hosting “Farm Island Anthology” opening March 24-July 9, 2023. This national juried exhibition is inspired by contemporary poet Penny Niemi’s “Farm Island Anthology,” which is set against the backdrop of rural America, and challenges a new generation to perpetuate the legacy of rugged, aging farmers who have passionately loved and worked and valued the land.
